Events Description

The World Migratory Bird Day is an annual celebration intended to welcome back migratory birds.

Join Nature Canada in celebrating World Migratory Bird Day with the Ottawa Children’s Festival on Saturday, May 12th at LeBreton Flats.

We will be leading guided Nature Walks where everyone can explore and discover the birds species with whom they share their local urban spaces.

Don’t miss the exciting Birds of Prey Flight Demonstration Show at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, animated by Falcon Ed, a company that specializes in falconry, training birds of prey, ecological control and educational presentations.

Our local partner, Earth Path will also have bird-related activities and nature games for kids at our booth between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Earth Path is a non-profit organization based in the Ottawa region, dedicated to fostering meaningful relationships between people and the natural world.

And don’t miss the exciting Bird of Prey Flight and Demonstration Show where you can see an owl and hawk up close!
