Presented by: The Friends of Gatineau Park
Watch the stars and the Perseids from the Champlain or Huron lookout. A brand new program of the Friends of Gatineau Park, developed in partnership with AstroPontiac the National Capital Commission.
Discover the night sky with an expert stargazer. In addition to getting an amazing view of the stars and distant city lights, you will learn about the constellations, the moon, and the visible planets. The Perseid shooting stars are also part of the program.
A 45 minute indoor presentation will be followed by a stargazing session at the Champlain or Huron lookout. Special after-dark access granted only for this activity.
Transportation will be provided from the Visitor Centre to the lookout.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing. If you have binoculars, don’t hesitate to bring them.
The funds raised will help support Friends of Gatineau Park activities.
