ANDARA Gallery presents: TARA WILKINSON I WAITING. The solo Photography Exhibition and Book Launch of new works will open virtually on June 1st at andaragallery.com, and for in-person gallery visits (at ANDARA Gallery, 54 Wilson Road, Bloomfield) once Ontario Covid-19 public health travel restrictions are lifted. The show will run through September 5th, 2021.
WAITING is a series of black and white street photographs by Canadian fine art photographer Tara Wilkinson of daily life taken during several trips to the villages and cities along Cuba’s north coast between 2014 and 2018.
The exhibition and the book, also titled WAITING, draws a correlation between the everyday experience of Cuban citizens waiting for basic necessities pre-Covid, and the universal experience of waiting we are all now sharing during the global pandemic.
