The Heritage Days / Les Journées du Patrimoine are four days promoting Saskatchewan’s culture and history. Offered primarily to francophones and immersion schools, the event proudly conveys the diversity of Saskatchewan’s heritage through shows, theater, games and various activities.
Founded in 2005 by the Société historique de la Saskatchewan (SHS), the festival has become emblematic for the Francophone community and the schools. In addition to the activities, which offer educational benefits to students, the SHS creates and writes educational guides on the theme of the festival.
The 15th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine: L’éclosion du lys des prairies will take place from September 23 to 26, 2020. It is around the theme of the creation of Saskatchewan and Regina as a capital city at the beginning of the 20th century, that the SHS team proposes to gather you this year. In order to respect provincial health measures related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition will be offered in virtual format on jdpsk.ca.
