Join us for special agriculture-themed activities at the Science Centre during the February school break!
Tuesday, Feb. 16 – Sprout House
Combine agriculture and engineering by building a “house” out of sponges and learn about how seeds germinate.
Wednesday, Feb. 17 – Flowers and Pollinators
Create a flower using different types of seeds/grain found in Saskatchewan, and products of grain grown in Saskatchewan. Learn how pollinators like bees, pollinate Saskatchewan crops.
Thursday, Feb. 18 – Sandwich Party
Explore how food makes its way from Saskatchewan farms to our table, specifically dairy, produce, grains, eggs, and meat.
Friday, Feb. 19 – All About Dairy
Learn about the life of dairy cows and dairy farmers! Learn how to milk a cow, what milk is used to create, and make butter!
