Explore digital art creation in Minecraft. These artist-led workshops are designed for all levels of experience and are inspired by the Ender Gallery programming. Space is limited to 12 participants per workshop. Register early to avoid disappointment.

This workshop is presented online. ETHER is a virtual solarpunk world-building workshop in Minecraft. Solarpunk is an emerging non-Western concept of reshaping the future through community building, sustainability and ecotechnologies.

Inspired by Hayao Miyazaki’s film, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, participants will imagine, plan and co-create a futuristic community through role-playing and building in Minecraft during this 3-part online workshop.

Enna Kim (She/Her) Enna Kim is an interdisciplinary artist-researcher based in Toronto. Enna explores speculative futures by combining world building and role-playing while examining race, class and gender of video games. Using intersectional feminist methodologies, she hopes to improve digital literacy within academic and media spaces. Enna has exhibited work in InterAccess Gallery, Xpace Cultural Centre, the Art Gallery of Ontario and Burning Man. Enna Kim holds a BFA in Digital Futures from OCAD University and is currently pursuing an MA in the joint Communication and Culture program at X University and York University.
