May 26: Game Maker Studio: Make a Platformer

This week we will be learning how to create a platforming game. How to make physics, characters, and goals.

Note: Game Maker Studios has a 30 day free trial and must be downloaded before the workshop.

 

June 2nd: Game Maker Studio – Make a Platformer (Part Two)

Learn how to make a platforming game (like Mario) in GameMaker. Code along with our host and learn the basics of one of the best, widely used independent game making softwares. *Recommended for ages 8 and up

(Note: Game Maker Studios has a 30 day free trial and must be downloaded before the workshop.)

 

June 9th: Micro:bit Soil Tester

Learn to code a soil testing machine using a Micro:bit. Find out how you can make sure your flowers are never over or underwatered using technology.

 

June 16th: Scratch Animation – Dino Dance Party

This workshop will focus on coding multiple sprites to create the illusion of a dance party. *Recommended for ages 8 and up

 

June 18th: Member Only Online Coding Workshop – Scratch Animation – Dino Dance Party

This workshop will focus on coding multiple sprites to create the illusion of a dance party. *Recommended for ages 8 and up

 

June 23rd: Scratch Animation – Lissajous Curve (3D Knot)

This workshop the gocode team will explore a mathimatical equation to discover a three dimensional knot animation. *Recommended for ages 8 and up

 

June 25th: Member Only Online Coding Workshop – 8-Bit Character Animation

Have you ever wondered how Mario, Megaman and a multitude of characters in video games were created? In this workshop the GoCode team will teach you how to build your own characters! *Recommended for ages 8 and up

 

June 30th: 8-Bit Character Animation
