Join us for the 1st MAGnificent Pumpkin Parade, taking place next week!
This year, we have created a COVID-safe pumpkin carving contest, with 4 different prize categories, for youth and adults alike! Simply carve a pumpkin at home and bring it by the Gallery from October 28 – 30 to register your entry for judging and display.
This contest is open to everyone, but registration is limited.
Registrants will be able to take their pumpkins home between 2-3 PM on October 31, in time for Halloween.
$25 gift cards to the MacKenzie Shop will be awarded to pumpkins in the following categories:
Scariest – Youth (17 & under)
Most Creative – Youth (17 & under)
Scariest – Adult (18 & over)
Most Creative – Adult (18 & over)
Pumpkins can be dropped off during Gallery hours on Wednesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 29, or between 10 AM and 1 PM on Friday, October 30. Judging will take place on Friday, October 30, and the winners will be announced at 2 PM that day via the MacKenzie’s social media.
We will have all of the pumpkins on display on Saturday, October 31 beginning from 10 AM to 2 PM! The first 25 visitors wearing a full costume will receive a sketchbook and MacKenzie pencil.
Please note that any pumpkins left at the MacKenzie after 3 PM on October 31 will be disposed of.

Pumpkins must be dropped off at the MacKenzie Art Gallery on:
- Wednesday, 28 October or Thursday, 29 October during Gallery hours (10 AM to 5:30 PM).
- or Friday, 30 October from 10 AM to 1 PM.
