With frigid air, icy conditions, and short days, winter can leave people feeling isolated and anxious, even without added worries due to COVID-19. But winter is also full of natural beauty and inspiring experiences that can help us feel safe, supported, and resilient. To foster those experiences with a focus on music, we’re excited to be offering our first-ever adult winter Songs 4 Nature program!
With support from Saskatchewan Outdoors and SaskEnergy, this program includes 4 evening Zoom sessions over 2 weeks, giving you a chance to dive into songwriting and draw inspiration from nature, supported by a team of established local artists. You’ll also find ways to connect with nature close to home through self-guided “homework” exercises. All levels of skill and experience are welcome!
This camp is also contributing to cutting-edge research about creativity and nature connection. You will be invited to take part in this research project when you register.
Registration: $90 /person for 4 sessions, taxes and fees included. Registration opens for Saskatchewan residents on January 8 and for everyone else on January 12. The last day for registering is January 29.
Free spots: We are able to provide a few free spots on a first-come-first-served basis. If you would like to be considered for one of them, send a request during the registration period.
