Events Description
Talking Fresh is a two-day writing festival for aspiring writers and anyone interested in reading from Regina and surrounding area. This year, Talking Fresh asks if it takes courage to write, and if so, in what way. The festival begins on Friday, March 6 at 4:00 pm with a panel discussion with Canadian writers Rita Bouvier (poetry), Don Gillmor (novels), Larissa Lai (novels), and Mohammad Yaghoubi (plays). The evening will feature a catered reception and author readings. On Saturday, March 7, each writer will conduct workshop-style sessions on the craft of writing in their genres. These sessions are intended for writers of all levels, and the festival is open to the public.
