Government House has partnered with The Société historique de la Saskatchewan on the 16th edition of the Journées du patrimoine-Heritage Days “The Blooming of the Lily on the Prairies” from September 22 to 28, 2021.

This year’s theme is about the creation of Saskatchewan. The Société historique de la Saskatchewan is offering programming to schools on September 22 – 24 and 27 – 28. During these days tours for the public will be limited. Tours for the public will only be offered at 12 noon and 3 pm on September 22, 23, 24 27 and 28.

Pubic programming will be offered on September 25 and 26th. The Public Days will be at Government House and visitors will learn about the birth of the province in 1905, chronicling the cultural effervescence around the Saskatchewan’s Government House in the late Victorian era as well as the establishment of the treaties on the territories of Saskatchewan.

September 25 and 26th will include activities such as an exhibit and presentations on Treaties, bilingual guided tours of Government House Museum, croquet in the beautiful Edwardian Gardens, a chamber music concert and Horse and carriage rides! This 16th edition of Journées du patrimoine-Heritage Days will immerse you in the heart of “Victorian” Saskatchewan.

No walk ups will be allowed this weekend at Government House.
