Events Description
‘Tis the season to be jolly at Midtown! Start a new holiday tradition with the inaugural Midtown Tree Lighting Celebration.
Join Midtown on Tuesday, November 19 beginning at 5:30 p.m. to help countdown to the ceremonial lighting of the NEW 35-foot tree near the west entrance of the mall at 20th and Idylwyld Avenue.
The evening will kick-off with festive caroling by the Saskatoon Express Carolers followed by a warm welcome from Mayor Charlie Clark and special guests. The actual lighting of the tree will take place between 5:45 and 6 p.m.
Following the tree lighting, guests are invited to enjoy some holiday cheer in Midtown Common including hot chocolate and photos with Santa while checking out Midtown’s brand new holiday decor!
Special performances by the Riverside Strummers, the Luther Heights Choir and the Pastors’ choral unit will also take place leading up to the lighting in Midtown Common from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Please note this event takes place outdoors weather permitting! If you would rather watch the lighting from inside the shopping centre, the west windows in Midtown Common will have optimal views. This event is FREE to attend and is sure to spread the holiday spirit!
