Events Description

Join us on July 6th 2019 for the third annual Louis Riel Relay & Kidfest event at Batoche National Historic Site! The setting is the perfect location for this classic event, allowing participants and spectators to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River while learning about Métis culture and history.

The KIDFEST portion of this signature event is primarily focused on families and children of all ages. Planned activities include Métis storytelling, face painting, bouncy castles, petting zoo, various Indigenous entertainers and more!

The LOUIS RIEL RELAY RACE is a competitive, fun and high energy adventure race that consists of running, biking, horse riding, canoeing, and a weighted pack run. There are three races that are run throughout the day for teams of all abilities: a competitive relay for the most hardcore of athletes, a shorter recreational relay for adults who just want to have fun in a team atmosphere, and a youth relay for children to test their Métis voyageur skills and endurance.

So what are you waiting for? Register a team today!
