Across the street from the Saskatchewan Craft Council, at 818 Broadway Ave (formerly Foster’s Shoes), the Saskatchewan Craft Council is hosting a Pop-Up Gallery from September 9th to 26th as part of Art Now: Saskatchewan Fine Art Fair.
This showcase features work by artists from across Saskatchewan in a variety of art media, including woodworking, metal forging, jewellery, ceramics, photography, printmaking, painting, and textile works. The SCC Pop-Up Gallery will be open the same hours as SCC Gallery: Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm. Purchased works can be taken home the day payment is received.
The 6th edition of the Art Now: Saskatchewan Fine Art Fair will be hosted online and on location from September 16th to 26th. Art Now, the only show of its kind on the prairies, provides local, national, and international artists and galleries with opportunities to gain exposure at a highly professional venue.
SCC Gallery and the SCC Pop-Up Gallery will both be open as part of Nuit Blanche YXE from 7 pm to midnight on Saturday, September 25th. Overtaking multiple venues and city streets throughout Saskatoon’s core neighbourhoods, Nuit Blanche YXE features projections, sculptural installations, performance, music, theatre, and other forms of contemporary art that wow festival-goers late into the evening.
