The Christmas Story 2020: A Pandemic Pageant

December 11, 2020

January 6, 2021

$0 - $250

Events Description

After more than 80 years on stage, the Church of the Holy Trinity’s pageant of “The Christmas Story” has been reinvented into a beautiful film. The classic Nativity story is presented against the backdrop of life in an urban centre in the middle of a pandemic. The tale of Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus takes on deep new resonance.

The production was shot outside and physically-distanced in the crisp light of fall, with a professional film crew and volunteer performers. True to its roots, the film incorporates the professional sound recording of the narration, carols and organ music, and the gorgeous costumes for which the stage production is known.

“The Christmas Story” will be available on-demand via until January 6th, 2021.
