Events Description
Embrace winter during the Family Day break
What better way to celebrate family and a week off of school than to spend it cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing in a shack made from real ice blocks or doing Métis inspired activities.
Prince Albert National Park’s gentle, rolling trails are the perfect place for children and beginners to learn how to ski. Borrow cross-country skis, snowshoes and ice fishing equipment at the Hawood Inn, free of charge! Check out a winter geocache kit at the Visitor Centre and practice your treasure hunting skills around town.
The days are getting longer and the sunshine reflecting off of the snow feels fantastic. Celebrate being a Canadian family in Saskatchewan’s north!
Cross-country ski, ice fish, snowshoe, ice skate, play road hockey, participate in one of the Métis activities or borrow a winter adventure kit and see what you can find.
