Various venues, Saskatoon, SK

Events Description

Late January in Saskatchewan can be a long, cold, dark time. But if the rumours are true – Saskatoon is filled with hearty people who actually still live and thrive in winter. We go to school and work, host events and parties, play sports and yes, go outside once in awhile.

WINTERRUPTION is an effort to give you a great reason to leave your house in the dead of winter. It is a collection of live indoor events, in 9 great Saskatoon venues. There is a lot of music, but also comedy, podcast, spoken word, a unique film event and more.

This is the 5th annual “WINTERRUPTION” and we look forward to seeing you indoor and outdoor, January 22-26!

Winterruption Outdoor is set for Friday, Jan 24 (6-10pm) and Saturday, Jan 25 (noon-10pm). The central focus is the STORYTELLING TIPI featuring Indigenous and New Canadian storytellers along with other tellers of tales in this unique and intimate setting. Each story is 5-20 minutes in length with the tipi holding only 18 people at a time.
