Reflection: Music for Choir and Solo Cello | August 5 | 7:30 PM

The Elora Singers & Katie Schlaikjer, Cello
The Elora Singers perform a mix of a cappella repertoire spanning centuries and pieces for choir and cello.

New Beginnings, The Jason Max Ferdinand Singers | August 7 | 7:30 PM

The newly-formed Jason Max Ferdinand Singers gave their stunning debut performance online at the Live from London Festival. The Elora Festival is proud to present them in this program of gospel-inspired music and African-American spirituals.

Out to Sea, Russell Braun and Carolyn Maule in Recital | August 12 | 7:30 PM

Canada’s foremost baritone Russell Braun in recital with pianist Carolyn Maule. Included in the program are Stanford’s Songs of the Sea, with the tenors and basses of The Elora Singers.

Festival of the Sound presents “Classic Vienna”, Rolston String Quartet and Friends | August 14 | 7:30 PM

In a continuation of the long-standing festival exchange tradition, Festival of the Sound provides this concert, featuring some of Canada’s finest chamber musicians.

The Elora Singers at Twilight, Music for the End of the Day | August 14 | 9:00 PM

This program evokes the ambiance of a candlelit a cappella concert, including excerpts from Rachmaninov’s Vespers, Renaissance and modern music for the end of the day. The sounds of plainsong, polyphony and rich modern harmonies offer a late-evening program.

Estonian Calendar Songs: Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir | August 19 | 7:30 PM

Tõnu Kaljuste, conductor
One of the Baltic’s premiere professional choirs, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, presents a program of songs by Veljo Tormis, inspired by important events in the Estonian calendar.

Cover Story is a light-hearted program of folk song arrangements and covers of contemporary popular music by such diverse artists as Annie Lennox, the Beatles, Björk, and Carly Simon.

Choral Dances VOCES8 | August 26 | 7:30 PM

VOCES8, the celebrated vocal ensemble from the United Kingdom, presents Choral Dances, recorded in London’s VOCES8 Centre featuring music from Benjamin Britten to Irving Berlin and Duke Ellington.

Poetry & Song The Elora Singers & Colm Feore | August 28 | 7:30 PM

Poetry & Song blends words and music as we hear Canadian stage actor Colm Feore narrate the program, which includes the world premiere of a newly-commissioned work by Canadian composer Stephanie Martin, based on poetry by Robert Frost.

Tickets may be also be purchased by calling the box office at (519) 846-0331. Due to COVID-19 safety regulations, the Elora Festival office is open from Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm for phone inquiries only.
