Baking for the Victorian Christmas Table

The Culinary Historians of Canada present a hands-on early Victorian baking class led by experienced culinary historian Sherry Murphy.

Participants will assist in preparing authentic historic recipes in a 19th-century kitchen setting using period equipment and techniques beside the hearth fire. This year’s focus will be on mincemeat tarts and rolled cookies, with a quick look at Christmas pudding. Samples to take home, tea and snacks are included.

Who is it for?

Participants must be 13 or older (with parent) or 16 or older (solo) to attend.
