The Big City Improv Festival, created by artistic director Adrianne Gagnon in 2011, is Canada’s largest gathering of improvisers with marquee headliners, local showcases, public workshops and industry panels. Alumni includes Scott Adsit, Phil LaMarr, Colin Mochrie, Maribeth Monroe, Lauren Ash, National Theatre of the World, and more.

2018

Highlights include The Black Version, an all African American improv team featuring comedy veterans Jordan Black, Cedric Yarbrough, Gary Anthony Williams, Daniele Gaither, Phil Lamar, and Nyima Funk; Joe Bill, a legendary improviser from Chicago; The Sufferettes, with Kayla Lorette and Becky Johnson; Tim Baltz, as seen on Drunk History and Shrink; Amy and Tom, repping Vancouver’s Blind Tiger comedy venue; Match Game with Mark Little; and Toronto favourites such as Catch 23, TallBoyz II Men, Illusionoid, Kinsey Fail, The Lusty Mannequins and more!
