Buy a book while supporting a cause! Purchase a book for $3 each or 2/$5. We are a non for profit that wants to build play structures for the members of our community.

The HWHC is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1992 by a group of CUPE healthcare workers. At the time, the main goal of the Co-operative was to provide safe and affordable housing to Toronto healthcare workers and their families. Since then, the mission of this organization has expanded. Now, not only does HWHC provide affordable housing healthcare workers, but HWHC also serves a vulnerable population including visible minorities, refugees, and individuals looking to flee domestic violence.

Today, the HWHC community is in great need of a playground and recreational area. HWHC previously had a playground for over 20 years, but because of wear-and-tear, that playground was torn down. The playground was a pivotal part of the community where people felt safe. It was an area that stimulated the minds and bodies of adults and children alike. Gatherings at the playground allowed children to become friends, and neighbours to become families. To fill this missing void in the community, members of HWHC have banded together to create the Play4All.MertonProject – a call to action to help this community raise funds to build a new playground.
