The London Heritage Council is pleased to announce it will be bringing Canada Day celebrations to the downtown core this year, utilizingDundas Place, London’s new flex-street to celebrate Canada’s 152nd birthday.

New this year is an evening night market featuring live music, beer gardens, food trucks, and local artisans. Night Market London will be held on the eve of Canada Day, kicking off the day-long event on July 1st

Both events will focus on admiring the local flavour that makes the Forest City so unique while also celebrating Canada’s rich, multicultural heritage.

 

Night Market London – Start your Canada Day celebrations off early by joining the London Heritage Council for our new evening market featuring live music, beer garden, food trucks, and local artisans. Enjoy the local flavour that makes the Forest City so unique while also celebrating Canada’s rich, multicultural heritage.

On Canada Day – Attendees will be able to enjoy a regional craft beer garden, local food trucks, artisans and craftspeople, food and beverage vendors, and more. Londoners of all ages will appreciate free activities and entertainment, including live music, free entertainment, food trucks, craft beer garden, artisans and vendors, interactive kids’ zone, free giveaways, a synthetic ice rink, Canada Life “chill zone”, and, of course, fireworks! Enjoy the local flavour that makes the Forest City so unique while also celebrating Canada’s rich, multicultural heritage.

Free cupcakes will be available near the stage at Dundas and Ridout, following the opening ceremony at 1 PM.

Visit the interactive Kids’ Zone, located in Jubilee Square on the corner of King and Talbot, for face painting, balloon animals, Canadian Raptor Conservancy Birds of Prey shows, and more!

Tallbeat Stilt Drumming Troupe – Fusion of Afro-Brazilian drumming and stilt-walking, Tallbeat’s drums of thunder | 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM

Synthetic ice rink, brought to you by Digital Echidna @ Dundas west of Richmond (Visitors are encouraged to bring their own skates, but free skate rentals are available with valid photo ID)

Live music includes London’s Golden Harps Steel Orchestra, local musician Chad Price, Forrest City London Music Award’s Rhythm & Soul Revue, and other local acts.
