Nothing less than theatrical magic, this Ontario Premiere of Anne of Green Gables – The Ballet™ promises to enchant from its opening act to the final curtain. Since its publication in 1908, the story of Anne of Green Gables has been told in films, made-for-television movies, musicals, plays, and animated and live-action television series. Ballet Jörgen’s colourful ballet adaptation of Lucy Maud Montgomery’s classic children’s novel transports audiences to early 20th century Atlantic Canada. Follow the adventures of Anne Shirley, an orphan girl sent to live on a farm in the fictional town of Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, in this evocative interpretation for the whole family.
