Have you ever wanted to learn to DJ or just try it out for fun? Now’s your chance.
Scratch Lab is turning an 18 foot truck into a DJ studio that has plexiglass partitions between workstations, hand sanitizers at each workstation and the promise that we are going to disinfect the equipment and truck between each workshop. Masks and gloves will be provided at no charge, upon request.
Each hour, we’ll conduct a workshop with maximum 6 people who will each be assigned their own workstation that will include the necessary DJ equipment and music. Fans will be circulating and a door will remain open throughout the workshop.
Workshops will focus on learning the equipment, understanding bar counts, cue scratch and mixing.
Should students wish to take multiple workshops, we can build on what you learn from prior workshops. Just let the instructor know when you check in.
Each 1-hour workshop is $60 per person.
For students who wish to practice, on the day of the workshop there will also be time available between 12:30-1:30pm. There will be a maximum of 6 people and the cost is $25, should you be interested.
