Please join us for a FREE screening on Saturday, September 22 of Driving with Selvi, a powerful, award-winning documentary about a young girl forced to become a child bride, who escapes becoming South India’s first female taxi driver. This special event is hosted by Christian Children’s Fund of Canada (CCFC).

DESCRIPTION:

Driving with Selvi follows the ten-year journey of a strong and courageous young woman who defies all expectations to create a better future for herself. Canadian filmmaker and director Elisa Paloschi brings Selvi’s story to the screen. Response from audiences around the world has been overwhelmingly positive with recognition and awards at five different film festivals.

Q&A SESSION:

Together with Belinda Bennet, country director for CCFC India who will talk about our efforts to end child marriage, Ms. Paloschi will be on hand at the screening to discuss the documentary.
