Events Description

Do you have young readers who love to read? Do your readers want to meet their favourite Canadian authors and illustrators? Have they ever been to a “rock concert” for reading?

This is their chance to be part of the largest literary event for young readers in Canada, the Festival of Trees!

Every year, almost 12,000 young readers, parents, teachers, and library staff attend the Festival of Trees in Toronto for fun-filled days of award ceremonies, autographing, workshops with authors/illustrators, exciting activities and games (for chances to win prizes and books), plus local entertainment to keep everyone excited!

Winning authors and illustrators of the Forest of Reading programs will be presented with awards for the Blue Spruce, Silver Birch, Red Maple, White Pine, Peuplier, Tamarac, and Tamarac Express programs.

On May 16, the French Festival will provide an exciting and entirely French event to French language and French immersion readers! Be part of the only French literary festival of its kinds in Canada!

Don’t miss out on Canada’s largest literary Festival for young readers!
