Events Description

Join Parks Canada and the Toronto Zoo in celebrating the return of the migratory birds in the Rouge, and the start of the Toronto Bird Celebration with our annual World Migratory Bird Day event!

This free outdoor event invites birders of all ages and levels to enjoy a full morning of guiding birding outings, activities and live bird shows.

What’s On:

Live birds of prey shows and displays by Wild Ontario
Expert-led guided birding outings (registration required)
Club Parka “Birding 101” programming for kids!
Native wildflower garden workshops with the Pickering Bloomers and Britches Heritage Gardeners
Self-guided trail games and bird scavenger hunt
Face painting
Birding crafts
Interactive displays by Bird Studies Canada, Earth Rangers and the Toronto Widlife Centre!
