The John Street Roundhouse is turning 90! Join the Toronto Railway Museum as we celebrate the nine decades of the Roundhouse. Open to families, this unique, one-day event is our way of celebrating this birthday of historic proportions. There will be hands-on activities and learning opportunities, as well as rides and tours:

Enjoy a ride on our historic turntable – it’s the longest in Canada!
Get an exclusive look at our restoration area and see how our volunteers make our locomotives and rolling stock look their best
Participate in our 90 Year Scavenger Hunt and search the park for clues as you learn about the nine decades of the Roundhouse’s life
Send a “Happy Birthday” message to the Roundhouse in our video booth.
Ride our miniature train around Roundhouse Park and try to imagine what the area looked like 90 years ago
Live music
Birthday cake, while supplies last

The Toronto Railway Museum is operated by the Toronto Railway Historical Association, a registered charitable organization. TRM has been located in John Street Roundhouse since 2010, with exhibits open year round and seasonal miniature train ride and guided tours.

Tickets are non-refundable, except in the case of event cancellation by the organizer
To celebrate the nine decades of the Roundhouse, visitors who are 9 or 90 years old are eligible for FREE admission. Proof of age is required at the door. Must be 9 or 90 years old by October 5 to be eligible.

Getting Here:
There is no parking at the Roundhouse. However, the John Street Roundhouse is about a ten minute walk from both Union and St. Andrew subway stations to the Roundhouse. The 504 King streetcar stop is at John Street, then a ten minute walk south. If taking the 509 Harbourfront streetcar, the closest stop is at Rees Street.
