Events Description
The Pia Bouman School for Ballet and Creative Movement is presenting their iconic Nutcracker—bringing together nearly 100 performers to share in this seasonal favourite. This not-for-profit dance school has been an essential part of the fabric of Toronto’s west end, ever since Bouman opened the school, forty-four years ago. While the roots of this school were firmly established in Parkdale, Pia Bouman School has started a new chapter in the Junction Triangle. Though the studio space may have changed, the annual Nutcracker spectacle stays as magical as ever. Pia’s Nutcracker is an annual tradition, bringing together families from the Toronto area and beyond for an evening of dance and holiday cheer.
2023 is the 38th year for Pia Bouman School’s annual performance of Tchaikovsky’s beloved Nutcracker – Toronto’s most family-friendly and longest-running Nutcracker!
This is a 38-year-old tradition surrounded by Lismer Hall’s unique atmosphere, Nutcracker Boutique, Flower Shop and delicious baked goods along with magical performances of Pia Bouman School dancers. Our annual production is a get together and a celebration of the community: Accessible ticket prices starting from $20, the most family-friendly Nutcracker, and all welcome!
