Events Description

Vincent Meessen’s video installation Ultramarine at The Power Plant features a spoken word performance by legendary poet Gylan Kain. Spoken word is a performance art that focuses on the words used and how they are pronounced. In this workshop, we will learn how to put together words and rhymes to create poems with guest artist Patrick de Belen. The program will end with an open mic for participants to share their writing.

Power Kids is a free and collaborative art-making workshop. It is for children ages 7-12 and their adult companions. Adults must remain with their children throughout these programs.

• Each session is capped at 36 participants and registration is strongly recommended as spaces fill up
• Any spaces that have been reserved but not claimed by 3:10 PM will be released to drop-in participants
