Lighthouse Immersive, the producer of the Van Gogh Exhibit in Toronto is bringing a 30 meter high hot air balloon to celebrate the reopening of the Van Gogh Exhibit after Toronto’s longest lockdown.
The balloon was created in England will be on display starting July 28th. The is a reproduction of the master’s Self Portrait with Grey Felt Hat, 1887.
According to the Vincent Van Gogh Balloon website, the balloon is composed of more than 2000 meters of special balloon cloth on which the image was laser printed.
The 30m high hot air balloon weighs almost 4000 kgs when completely inflated with the hat rim measuring 23 meters in diameter.
