The first is the Lights & Laser Drive-In, a pre-registered, 30 minute experience from the safety of your vehicle featuring a spectacular display of projections, lights and lasers! There will also be a live performance by Dr. Strangelove, a highly entertaining, multi-faceted, six-piece dance band with five talented lead vocalists, who can cover everything from Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga, and from AC/DC to Shania Twain.

The second main feature is a livestream concert with JUNO Award-winning trio, Said The Whale! The livestream will also give you a sneak peek of the Lights & Laser Drive-In Experience (for those who were not able to attend in-person).

Other activities will include online games, a costume contest (taking place virtually) and The Great Pumpkin Recipe Challenge.

Lights & Lasers Drive-In

The Lights & Lasers Drive-In is a 30 minute experience at the Golden Ears Winter Club parking lot. Combining cutting edge technology, video projections, lasers and lights, you’ll be dazzled in the comfort of your vehicle while the space around you transforms into a spectacular display!

Participants will also enjoy a live performance by Dr. Strangelove, the iconic Canadian band that spreads joy one party song at a time. Dr. Strangelove is known for their musical talent, genre diversity, amazing harmonies and fun dance moves, plus they will always make you feel like you are part of the show!

Available 30 minute timeslots will be 6:00 PM – 6:30 PM, 7:00 – 7:30 PM, 8:00 – 8:30PM and 9:00 – 9:30 PM. Registration (opening October 1 at 8:00 AM) is limited, so be sure to register early! Masks are required should you need to exit your vehicle (see “Your Safety is Our Priority” below); however, we encourage all participants to use the washroom at home before arriving to minimize foot traffic.

Livestream Concert

We are excited to present Said The Whale for our livestream concert at 7:00 PM! You can watch online on our Facebook Page or right here on our website. Remember to join us at 6:45 PM for the pre-show which will include a sneak peek of the Lights & Lasers Drive-In experience for those who are unable to join us in-person.

Said The Whale’s music is pure West Coast. There are rich harmonies drawn from California pop, crunchy guitars rooted in the lineage of Pacific Northwest indie rock, and naturalistic lyrics inspired by the water and mountains of their hometown of Vancouver. Having spent a more than a decade together, the JUNO Award-winning trio of Tyler Bancroft (vocals/guitar), Ben Worcester (vocals/guitar) and Jaycelyn Brown (keyboards) have perfected a big-hearted sound that’s warmly organic and filled with pop hooks.
