Events Description

Join us at the Space Centre! This month we’re celebrating Einstein’s birthday and are exploring how his theories on gravity, and the use of math help astronomers understand the universe we live in.

During your 60-minute visit you will have 30 minutes to explore the exhibits in our Cosmic Courtyard Gallery. The other 30 minutes will be spent in our Observatory with a tour of our ½ metre Cassegrain telescope and a 15-minute discussion about how astronomer’s use Newton’s and Einstein’s perspectives on gravity to study the universe.

This program is recommended for families with children ages 8+. Children must be accompanied by adults. One ticket must be purchased for each member of your group and groups can have a maximum of 4 people. We recommend that you dress warmly as the Observatory can be cold. Please arrive early to allow time for check-in.
