Royal MTC presents IbsenFest

The 2019 Master Playwright Festival features Norwegian dramatist and poet Henrik Ibsen. Ibsen played a significant role in the rise of realism and remains one of the greatest dramatists who ever lived. One of his best known and most widely performed plays, A Doll’s House, deals with the limitations and harsh expectations of women. Some of his other works include:Hedda Gabler, An Enemy of the People, Ghostsand The Feast of Solhous, which was inspired by Norwegian folk songs.

IbsenFest showcases 16 full productions, one play reading, one radio/web broadcast, a free film and two lectures.
