The St. Andrews Heritage Centre would like to invite you to participate in a day of fun and learning. The St. Andrews Heritage Centre has free Thursday Kids Activity Days in July and August from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.
July 4th – Create Your Own Tartan: Each clan in Scotland has their own tartan. Come to the Heritage Centre to make your own!
July 11th – Three Sisters Activity: Listen to the legend of the three sisters and discover how these three plants work together to thrive.
July 18th – Victorian Style Picnic: Bring your lunch and join us for a memorable afternoon filled with games.
July 25th – Mini Highland Games: Compete against your mates to become the winning clan!
August 1st – Make A Mini Rag Rug: Make a cool rug just like the settlers use to!
August 8th – Making a Paper Canoe: Make an origami canoe and listen to stories about the voyagers!
August 15th – Indigenous Games: The First Nations admired persons of superior strength, stamina, or dexterity because they helped keep the entire community healthy and strong. Participate in a variety of outdoor games that combine these skills.
August 22nd – Spinning Wool: Learn the process of fleece being turned into usable yarn to knit or make other fabrics.
August 29th – Imaginative Art Activities: This fun collaborative workshop will bring out the creativity in your child.
