Walk in the footsteps of the Métis by learning why beadwork is so important to the Métis culture, bead your own small bag, or decorate an octopus bag (perfect for children under 5).
Pioneers of yesteryears | July 17th / August 14th
The Grey Nuns have played a big role in the St. Boniface community since their arrival. Their goal was to help those in need, for example by providing them with food and education. Join this activity and learn all about how to make “Pètes de Sœurs” a traditional pastry made by the grey nuns. Also try your hand at calligraphy, and learn how to weave your own cloth that you can take home with you.
Blast from the Past | July 24th / August 21st
Are you young at heart? Do you enjoy fun and games? If so, come have fun with the many traditional children’s games we have ready for you. However, it’s not all fun and games, children also had to help their parents around the house. But not to worry, your hard work will be rewarded with home made ice cream.

Reservations are required at least one week in advance in order to schedule the appropriate amount of tour guides. Once all the details have been captured, you will receive a confirmation sheet by email; it must be signed and returned to us to finalize your booking. In case of a cancellation, please give the Museum 48 hours’ advance notice, to avoid being billed.
