Museum Music Minutes

Musical experts in their field will do a 20 minute show and tell on a favourite subject. Zachary Rushing from Jazz Winnipeg will show some of his vintage sheet music and talk about popular American music from the 1920s-1950s. The Manitoba Underground Opera will be joining us to talk (and sing) about music hall and operettas from the early 1900s, and a Metis fiddler will talk about where the metis fiddle sound came from, the uniqueness of The Red River Jig in musical terms, and will play some examples for us.
