Sawa Theatre is thrilled to announce its original Arabic/English production, A Ten Star Family is set to hit the stage.
Come and experience a day in the life of Mahmoud’s family as he and his nine siblings band together to celebrate the youngest of the bunch’s birthday. Join the fun as they jump through obstacles and hurdles, using music, movement, and comedy, to showcase the importance of family.
Written by Sawa participants, in collaboration with playwright Gislina Patterson, A Ten Star Family is a show that cant be missed.
Sawa Theatre is an Arabic/English theatre program for newcomer youth that aims to foster creativity, promote personal growth, and encourage solidarity. This program is a collaborative project, established by a group of dedicated university students and young artists in 2016 who all share a similar vision and passion for theatre: both as a platform for challenging harmful misconceptions as well as providing an outlet for personal growth.
