Events Description

The Guelph MusicFest welcomes classical music artist and groups from across the country.

Season 14 celebrates Beethoven’s 250th birthday so every concert features at least one work by the composer. It begins on Friday May 22, 2020 at the GYMC with my Festival Trio with violinist Sadie Fields, cellist Paul Pulford, and pianist Ken Gee.
On May 29, there is a violin recital by the KW Symphony’s concertmaster, violinist Bénédicte Lauzière with pianist Ken Gee.
June 5 sees the return of the incredible Rolston String Quartet. They were so good last season, a quick encore visit was a given.
And who better to celebrate Beethoven’s big birthday than Vancouver pianist Robert Silverman, one of the few in the world to have recorded all 32 Beethoven piano sonatas. He has devoted a lifetime of thought to the great composer and offers insights that most cannot imagine. It will be an-all Beethoven sonata recital which includes early, middle and late works.

This fantastic festival is not one to be missed if you’re in the Guelph area and are a fan of classical music!
