Halal Ribfest Toronto: Head to North York For Canada’s Largest Halal Barbeque and Fast Food Truck Festival Weekend

Toronto is getting a new ribfest – Halal Ribfest Toronto!

If you are looking to enjoy fall-off-the-bone, finger-lickin’ good ribs, that is halal certified too, then head to North York this August weekend as a new festival, billed as “Canada’s Largest Halal Barbeque and Fast Food Truck Festival” will showcase dishes from chefs and grillmasters from around the world.

 

The festival featuring cuisines from all over the world, from South Asian to African and Middle Eastern, will have foods like shawarma, Nashville chicken, roast lamb, Korean cut ribs, beef back ribs, steaks, jerk chicken, tandoori foods, kabobs, South African BBQ, Kathi rolls among others.

It is not just grilled foods that will be available.

The organizers say there will be Turkish ice cream, baked sweets, Kunafa, Kulfi, funnel cakes, and other mouthwatering ethnic eats which you can wash down with flavoured lemonades, non-alcoholic beer, bubble tea, Chai or coffee.

In addition, there will be a show and shine featuring GTA’S most exotic cars, motorcycles, and classics.

There will also be a kids’ zone with carnival food and rides.

This three-day event will take place from August 26th to August 28th – Friday from 5p.m to 11p.m, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m to 11 p.m. at Downsview Park Festival Terrace, 35 Carl Hall Rd. Admission costs $8 for kids and seniors and $12 for adults.
