Halloween on Church Street Cancelled for 2020

The Church-Wellesley Village has announced that it would not be hosting the annual Halloween on Church Street event this Halloween.

The annual Halloween on Church Street sees thousands of festival-goers filling up six blocks along Church Street (Wood Street to Gloucester Street) and the Village transforms into the city’s most wicked street party on Halloween night, October 31st.

The decision was taken as Ontario’s stage 3 guidelines limits outdoor gatherings to 100 people.

Yesterday, Premier Doug Ford said he would prefer parents not take their children trick or treating this Halloween as the province struggles to keep its COVID-19 case numbers under control.
