New ETS Fares From February 1

ETS Fares are changing from February 1. Cash fares will remain $3.50 and the fare will be free for children 12 and under accompanied by adults. The cost of a Family/Day Pass will increase by 25 cents to $10.25.

Edmonton says the Fare Policy, approved by Council in 2019, is based on a model of affordability and a person’s ability to pay.

There will be a new sliding scale for low income senior annual passes starting this year. This sliding scale will provide discounted transit for low-income seniors, including free passes for those earning less than $29,069. Low-income seniors in Tier 12 (income between $29,069 and $33,033) will get their passes for $139.

The monthly pass for seniors will increase to $35 from $34, while the annual pass cost increases from $374 to $385.

A monthly pass for adults will go up to $100 from $97, while a book of 10 tickets will cost $27.75 up 75 cents from the current $27.

Youth monthly pass will be $72.50 and $73 effective September 1, 2021 and a book of 10 tickets will cost $19.75.
