Ottawa’s epic EDM music festival, Escapade Music Festival has announced that those who want to attend the 2021 edition will have to be fully vaccinated.

The traditionally June Festival is rescheduled to labour day weekend – September 3 to 5, 2021.

A statement posted on the website states, “In keeping with our ongoing transparency with our EMF Fam, we are confirming that there will be vaccination requirements to attend Escapade 2021. We encourage those who have not been vaccinated yet and wish to attend Escapade 2021 to look at doing so as soon as possible; we are counting down the days, and we are only 7 weeks away. We want to look back on Escapade 2021 as the beginning of the end of this pandemic as we work towards a full return to normalcy in 2022.”

To help with the immunization efforts of Ottawa Public Health, the Ottawa’s Escapade Music Festival is organising a vaccination blitz on July 24th by setting up a pop-up vaccination clinic at Ottawa Stadium in 300 Coventry Road from 10am-8pm. The clinic will be open to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Ontario. Organisers say there will be live DJs, and plenty of giveaways for all those who show up to get vaccinated. Advance registration is required.

Those who are not able to receive a vaccine for medical reasons, will need to provide a negative Covid test result within 24 hours of the start of the event to enter the 2021 festival.

Those who can not attend the festival can transfer your tickets over to Escapade 2022 or request a refund.

Calgary Stampede also made vaccination or COVID-19 tests mandatory for those attending Nashville North concerts.
