National Caesar Day is when Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast celebrate our national cocktail with – you guessed it – more Caesars!
National Caesar Day is the Thursday before the May 24 long weekend and this year it falls on May 20th.
Invented in Calgary in 1969, by restaurateur Walter Chell to celebrate the opening of his restaurant, Caesar is regarded as Canada’s National Cocktail. It typically contains vodka, a caesar mix (a blend of tomato juice and clam broth), hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. The basic caesar recipe follows a 1-2-3-4-5 rule.
To celebrate National Caesar Day, the team at Walter Craft Caesar, a premium all-natural craft Caesar company, have just released their first-ever pre-mixed Caesar cocktail – made in Canada using premium vodka and classically seasoned with the all-natural ingredients.
If you want to buy a pre-made Caesar, then Walter Pre-Mixed Craft Caesar is available at retailers across Canada including LCBO (ON), BCL (BC), ANBL (NB), PEI Liquor (PEI) and select private liquor stores in British Columbia and Alberta. (Buy Online)
