DESCRIPTION:A very liberal contemporary couple — Gabriel\, an urban Indig
 enous science fiction writer\, and Corinne\, a “non-practicing” Jewish
intellectual who teaches Indigenous literature — host a dinner party. T
he guests at this little “sitcom” soirée are couples that represent w
hat by now have become the clichéd extremes of both societies: Gabriel’
s former radical Indigenous activist buddies and Corinne’s environmental
ly concerned vegan friends. The menu is\, of course\, the hosts’ respect
ful attempt at shorthand for the irreconcilable cultural differences about
to come to a head during the evening: moose roast and vegan lasagna.
