If a round of golf surrounded by blueberry fields and maple forests sounds like your kind of escape, you will have a new Nova Scotia destination to consider in a couple of years.

Cabot plans to open Cabot Wilds, a 2,500-acre golf resort and residential community in Cumberland County in late 2027. The development will sit in Collingwood Corner, just outside Oxford, in the foothills of the Cobequid Mountains.
The project is being developed with Canadian businessman John Bragg and his family, the founders of Oxford Frozen Foods. Cabot will develop and manage the property.
At the centre of the resort will be an 18-hole riverfront golf course designed by Toronto architect Jeff Mingay. You can expect the course to move through highlands and tree-lined valleys while following sections of the River Philip.

“This land has always been a treasured place for my family,” Bragg said, adding that sharing the area with others is “incredibly meaningful.”
There is plenty planned beyond golf. You will find racquet sports, hiking and biking trails, fishing, wild blueberry picking, snowmobile access and winter sports. A clubhouse will include dining areas, a bar, pro shop and locker rooms, while wellness facilities will offer treatments, thermal therapies and mindfulness spaces.
If you want to stay longer, Cabot will also be releasing residential options in future. Buyers can choose from two, four and eight-bedroom cottages, along with lots overlooking the golf course, hills or river.
Cabot CEO and co-founder Ben Cowan-Dewar said the project aims to “shine a light on this beautiful corner of Nova Scotia.”
