A&W Canada Introduces New Plant-Based Burger Nationwide

A&W Canada has added another vegetarian option to its menu, unveiling the A&W Plant-Based Burger across the country.

CNW Group/A&W Food Services of Canada Inc.

The new burger was created in the company’s own innovation kitchen and is built with a plant-based patty topped with lettuce, red onion, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise, all on a toasted sesame seed bun.

The chain already offers several meat-free choices, including the Masala Veggie Burger, Crispy Veggie Burger and Spicy Piri-Piri Potato Buddy Burger. This latest addition is meant to expand that lineup and give customers more variety.

Karan Suri, Senior Director of Innovation at A&W Canada, said the decision to develop the recipe in-house was to ensure quality and taste. “By taking the lead on our own plant-based recipe, we can ensure we are always delivering delicious, crave-worthy burgers that our guests expect from A&W,” he said.

The Plant-Based Burger is now available at locations across Canada as part of A&W’s permanent vegetarian range.
