Deemed the most influential and trusted automotive awards in the country based on 2023 Ipsos research, the AutoTrader Awards cover a diverse range of categories that mirror the preferences of Canadian car shoppers.
This year, new categories like Best Hybrid and Best Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) were added to the roster.

Per the news release, a panel of over 20 esteemed automotive journalists from across Canada cast their votes for the best vehicles in each category. These experts select winners based on a variety of criteria, including value, innovation, safety, driver satisfaction, and overall excellence, ensuring that the awarded vehicles are ones they would confidently recommend to family and friends. Each winning vehicle is recognized for offering unique qualities that set a higher standard in its segment.
Looking ahead, the Grand Prix winners of the 2024 AutoTrader Awards will be unveiled on February 15, 2024. Winners from the current round are eligible for the Grand Prix trophy in categories including Best Overall Car, SUV, Truck, and Green Car. Additionally, the prestigious title of Canada’s Most Trusted Car Brand will also be announced.
