The 2024 AutoTrader Awards have recently announced their winners, highlighting the best vehicles available in Canada.

Deemed the most influential and trusted automotive awards in the country based on 2023 Ipsos research, the AutoTrader Awards cover a diverse range of categories that mirror the preferences of Canadian car shoppers.
This year, new categories like Best Hybrid and Best Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) were added to the roster.
The list of category winners for 2024 includes the Honda Civic as Best Small Car, the Subaru Outback as Best Compact SUV, and the Toyota Prius for Best Hybrid.
Luxury and performance categories were also represented, with the Porsche Taycan winning Best Large Luxury Car and the Cadillac CT5-V earning the title of Best Premium Performance Car.
The Ford F-150 was named Best Full-Size Truck, and for adventure enthusiasts, the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator won the Best Vehicle for Adventure category.
In the electric vehicle segment, the Kia Niro EV and Hyundai Ioniq 6 won Best Mainstream EV and Best Premium EV, respectively. The Toyota Prius and Prius Prime were acknowledged as the Best Hybrid and Best PHEV.

Per the news release, a panel of over 20 esteemed automotive journalists from across Canada cast their votes for the best vehicles in each category. These experts select winners based on a variety of criteria, including value, innovation, safety, driver satisfaction, and overall excellence, ensuring that the awarded vehicles are ones they would confidently recommend to family and friends. Each winning vehicle is recognized for offering unique qualities that set a higher standard in its segment.
Looking ahead, the Grand Prix winners of the 2024 AutoTrader Awards will be unveiled on February 15, 2024. Winners from the current round are eligible for the Grand Prix trophy in categories including Best Overall Car, SUV, Truck, and Green Car. Additionally, the prestigious title of Canada’s Most Trusted Car Brand will also be announced.
