Kawartha Lakes Festival of Trees

See Kawartha Settlers’ Village transformed with beautiful lights, decorated Christmas Trees and gorgeous holiday displays. TThis year, the festival will offer an array of activities and attractions for the whole family, including wagon rides, a Candy Shoppe, and, as always, a magical visit from Santa Claus.
The main highlight, of course, will be the hundreds of exquisitely decorated and donated items displayed in the Village, all up for raffle and auction.

The Apsley Lions Club hosts the annual Santa Claus Parade and Children’s Party.  Everyone is invited to come to the NKCC where refreshments (hot chocolate, coffee, tea) are served along with “Loot” bags for kids 10 and under. Winter Solstice Night Hike

Enjoy and embrace darkness on the longest night of the year at Gamiing Nature Centre near Lindsay. Welcome the Winter Solstice with a night hike that begins as the sun is setting and ends in beautiful darkness with an opportunity to warm yourself by a fire. We will create smaller groups to explore the trails for those who are interested in walking. There is also the option to simply sit by the fire and enjoy the beauty of the night. Dress for the weather! Boots, winter jackets, hats and mitts are a must!
