The City of Calgary has declared a state of local emergency on November 25th in support of Alberta’s efforts to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

No additional measures are enacted at this time, but the declaration gives the City the ability to direct City resources where there are immediate needs and it increases the City’s ability to support the provincial declaration.

The City says it supports the province’s efforts to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 to save lives and protect the healthcare system.
